BIO / QUENTIN BONOMO
Quentin is a PhD Candidate in Neuroscience at McGill Univesity under the supervision of Dr. A. Claudio Cuello. He has 6 years of experience conducting a multitude of advanced studies of Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) using the McGill-R-Thy1-APP transgenic rat model.
While Quentin is best known for his exceptional scientific rigour, he has garnered critical acclaim for his dedication to mentorship and education of the next generation of youth in STEM fields.
Originally from Nice, France, Quentin has also lived in Shanghai and Boston during his youth. He has made Montreal his home for the better part of the last decade during his undergraduate and doctoral studies.
Well-known for his commitment to replicable and trustworthy scientific practices, Quentin aspires towards a career in academia. Inspired by the significant influence of his mentor on his life path, he aims to give young trainees the supervision and mentorship that he experienced in his time at McGill University.
Outside of the lab, you’ll find Quentin optimizing recipes at home, playing piano, or engaging in a competitive game of squash with his lab mates.
